When we heard that adidas was launching a special colourway of the Predator Edge with Swarovski crystals, we started thinking about all the possible options the German brand could present us with. At first, we thought of something very striking and bright, then a totally white colourway or even a translucent one, but never what was finally launched.
Already worn by Bellingham and Moise Kean, the new Predator Crystal boots are a real gem and, for this reason, will be worn by two young footballers who shine like the diamonds found in these boots. You read that right: the three adidas stripes incorporate tiny diamond fragments that give the boot a super-stylish and eye-catching look. You can see the rest for yourselves: a pattern reminiscent of military style, with various shades of green.
In addition to the colouring, there is a substantial difference in price, as they go from costing around €280 (the retail price of a normal colourway of the Predator Edge +) to €352, a significant amount that many are willing to pay for a super special and very limited edition of adidas' most iconic model.
In terms of technology, the German brand has not changed anything, retaining Zone Skin, a technology that provides excellent grip when in contact with the ball in all weather conditions. Also noteworthy is the spectacular Speedframe sole, which fully embraces the concept of shine by being dyed a translucent silver that will stand out on the pitch.
As this is a special edition, there are only two versions available: the laceless model, the Predator Edge +, and the collarless model with laces, the Predator Edge.1 Low. As a result, adidas will not be releasing any lower-end versions of this pack.
