It was an open secret, but today it has finally been made official. Sergio Ramos and Mizuno will be working together over the coming seasons. We have been seeing Sergio wearing boots made by the Japanese brand for a few months now, and although he started out wearing blackouts, we soon saw him wearing several colours from the Japanese brand's range.
Today, that agreement has materialised in the form of a statement from the brand, and not only that, but they have also revealed the silo that the Paris Saint Germain centre-back will be wearing. Although we have been seeing Ramos wearing Mizuno football boots for months, we were not entirely sure which of the brand's silos he would end up choosing. In competition, we have almost always seen him wearing Mizuno Morelia Neo III football boots, but in training, we have often seen him wearing the Rebula model.
The video statement published by the brand on its social media accounts makes it clear that the Mizuno Morelia Neo III football boots are the ones chosen by the player to face the final stretch of his career. Although we imagined it, we are surprised, because although it is true that we are talking about football boots made of natural leather, it is not the model that most resembles the Nike Tiempo football boots, which have been used by the former Real Madrid player for most of his career.
These Mizuno Morelia Neo III football boots stand out for their comfort, the quality of their materials, but above all for their lightness. That is why we say that perhaps the classic Morelia silo, or even the Rebula, already used by Sergio Ramos, are two models that are closer to the style of football boots that the centre-back has used in recent years. But without a doubt, Morelia Neo is Mizuno's flagship model and will continue to be so, as there is currently no other brand that has been able to match Mizuno's creation in terms of materials, lightness and comfort.
From our point of view, this decision is a wise move on Sergio Ramos' part, as he is signing with a brand that works on its products and materials like few others do. Although it is true that it does not have the marketing power of other big names, its ability to mix materials, concepts and technologies has allowed it to offer a product that is close to becoming the perfect football boot.
This is reflected in sales, as every time Mizuno football boots arrive at Fútbol Emotion, they sell out in a matter of hours, proving that everyone who gave them a try no longer wants to wear any other boots. So if you want to wear Sergio Ramos' new boots, keep an eye on the shops and the Fútbol Emotion website, as we will have news about the Mizuno Morelia Neo III football boots very soon.
