In a week’s time, we’ll have the pleasure of watching two major matches: the first, on Wednesday evening, is the Europa League final, and the second, on Saturday evening, is the Champions League final. To mark the occasion, adidas has launched a new exclusive pack for these two finals, designed exclusively for three players. That’s right, the football boots we’re presenting today will be worn by just three players, two of whom will be playing in the finals mentioned above.
adidas Showpiece pack
There are only two models in this pack: the X Ghosted and the Predator. Both feature the same design and colour scheme. A very light metallic silver combined with red and blue. A colour combination that makes the boot quite elegant yet casual at the same time. Why aren’t we seeing the Copa and Nemeziz? Good question… We don’t know for certain, but we’re fairly sure the Copa could be released later to make its debut during the European Championship. As for the Nemeziz, quite the opposite: it has already been unveiled in a video by adidas. The boot was coloured gold—the colour of victory and winners—to mark a new record set by Messi. But let’s get back to the real stars of the show, the X and the Predator, and find out straight away who will be wearing them.
X Ghosted
The adidas Speed Silo has been entrusted to two top-class strikers: Ferran Torres and Mo Salah. The Spaniard and the Egyptian already wore them during the last Premier League match, and City’s number 21 will also be taking them onto the pitch on Saturday for the Champions League final. As we mentioned earlier, the shoes feature a very bright and clear metallic silver finish, which is further enhanced by the slimness of the upper. The rest is coloured in red or blue, colours that complement each other perfectly.
Predator
As for Predator, the main ambassador is Pogba, who will be wearing the boot in today’s Europa League final between Manchester United and Villarreal. The Frenchman will be wearing the laced version, the Predator Freak.1, the adidas football boot he is currently using instead of the laceless version. In this model, the metallic grey is slightly darker and the studs are coloured blue and red.
