G. Donnarumma
He is one of Predator’s leading ambassadors. The young goalkeeper for Milan and the Italian national team, having previously been Puma’s ‘jewel’, switched to adidas, becoming one of the German brand’s key players. As we’ve mentioned before, he’s one of Predator’s leading representatives, both in boots and gloves, but during the last match against Sassuolo we saw him wearing a different pair of adidas boots to his usual ones. The Neapolitan goalkeeper switched from the Predator model to the Copa, a rather significant change that took everyone by surprise. The difference in feel is quite significant, as he’s moving from a synthetic boot to one made of natural leather. Why do you think he did it?
Ramsey
Juventus are slipping further and further away from the title race following yesterday’s draw at the Franchi, a 1-1 result that does little to help Pirlo’s side. Beyond the match itself, we also spotted something unusual on the players’ feet, particularly on one of them: Bianconeri midfielder Ramsey, who took to the pitch wearing a pair of Nike Phantom GTs. To be honest, we didn’t think it was true, but it is: the Welshman, who usually wears Nemeziz, played in Nike boots. The switch in brands had been hinted at, as in recent matches the former Arsenal man had started wearing older Nemeziz models, suggesting a break with the three-stripe brand.
Shomurodov
The Genoa player often surprises us by wearing adidas boots from previous collections, particularly the adidas F50 range, a truly iconic model that has made history for the German brand. In this latest match, we saw him wearing a version that many loved back in the day: the F50 Adizero, which revolutionised this range in 2015. These boots brought the Uzbek player luck, as he scored a spectacular goal in these adidas speed boots.
Graziano Pellè
The Italian striker, back from China, is trying to salvage Parma’s season, though it is no easy task. What’s interesting about Parma’s star striker is that we’ve seen him wearing some special Mercurial boots: first the MDS, Nike boots designed for football’s brightest young talents, and now we see him in the new Silver Safari, a modern take on a classic Nike design that has been reissued several times. It’s a rather curious case, as we’ve seen these boots on players who will be competing in the Champions League knockout stages, such as Modrić, Vinicius and Mbappé, but we haven’t yet seen them on Cristiano Ronaldo’s feet, for example.
