Best adhesive tape futsal shoes for kids

Kids' futsal shoes are a constant source of uncertainty for some parents who have decided to enrol their kid in a football team. Below, we’ll take a look at this small niche market and, of course, clear up any doubts you may have about whether this type of boot is beneficial for young footballers. Let’s get started.

Futsal shoes with adhesive tape for kids represent a small niche market that we have rarely paid much attention to. Most likely, if you’re reading this, it’s because your son, nephew, etc., has taken up the wonderful sport of football, or you simply want to buy a pair of shoes for them to enjoy on the school playground. To the question: Are kids' futsal shoes better with or without adhesive tape?

Adhesive tape futsal shoes

There is no better way to answer the previous question than by affirming our stance in favour of laces, as the support and durability they provide will be far greater. Despite this, adhesive tape means the young footballer won’t have any trouble and can tie their boots themselves. Perhaps the only downside to this type of footwear is the wear and tear the tape itself will suffer, but this can be quickly resolved simply by reattaching the tape.

The most notable differences we’ll find in this type of shoes are the materials they’re made from. Generally speaking, there are two main options for these tiny shoes: synthetic materials or microfibre leather. Which is better? There isn’t a clear winner; whilst it’s true that leather will mould to your little footballer’s foot much more quickly, today’s synthetic materials are widely available and are just as good as leather.

IMPORTANT: This is a key piece of advice when buying: WHAT SIZE SHOULD I BUY? Football is a physical sport, and the way the ball is struck does not depend on your kids' size. You need to be very careful, and the best approach is to buy the correct size. “If I buy them a boot one size bigger, it’ll last longer” – Of course, but the risk of injury will be proportionally higher. The kid will constantly have to gauge the distance from their toes to the ground. By this we mean that, with a larger size, the risk of their toes hitting the ground is greater; as well as the shoe wearing out, they’re very likely to twist their ankle.

Nike Mercurial

We’ll start this short list with a model from the American brand. As you can see, this shoe is made from synthetic upper, which really helps the youngster’s foot strike quickly. One thing to pay close attention to is the sole. As you can see, it has hardly any cushioning – but bear in mind, this doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing; it just means it’ll have much more contact with the ground. Of course, it won’t hurt when you land, as Nike has made sure to include an EVA rubber midsole to completely absorb the impact. The fastening on this shoe is very likely one of the strongest available and offers one of the largest areas of support.

Puma One

A Puma shoe features on the list. The German brand’s most successful design of the last 20 years is available for the little ones. For the more observant among you, we can reveal that these are Kun Agüero’s football boots. The upper of the Puma ONE is made from a synthetic microfibre that mimics the properties of leather but offers much greater durability, as well as lower water absorption.

Joma Supercopa

From now on, the national brand will be featured. Joma is one of those historic brands that leave their mark wherever they go, and here at Fútbol Emotion, we certainly hold this Toledo-based brand in high regard. A wide, generous fastening area ensures there are no problems when fastening the boot. Made from synthetic microfibre, it allows for a stable, one-piece construction. Perforations in the areas that come into contact with the ball provide grip when striking. A mid-profile Phylon midsole will provide the youngster with the right level of cushioning.

Kelme Precisión

It’s no coincidence that the Precision boot takes second place. For those of you who don’t know what Kelme stands for: a legend in futsal and British sport, quality, a home-grown brand, made from microfibre leather. It fits the foot perfectly, as well as being very lightweight and providing a sense of control on ball contact. The padding around the collar and inside makes them very comfortable, as well as being one of our favourites for older players, of course.

Munich Gresca

How many of you have worn Munich at some point in your lives? Even if you’ve never worn a pair of futsal shoes, or even football boots, Munich is one of those brands that has been with us since we were kids; quality, history and craftsmanship, not just on the 40x20 pitches, but in all areas of football and everyday life. We’re talking about the legendary Gresca, a shoe made from natural leather, which allows the foot to breathe and makes it very comfortable. The inside of the shoe is lined with a padded material for added comfort. It features a vulcanised sole incorporating a dual-density midsole that provides comfort underfoot, reinforcing the areas of the sole that bear the greatest impact, whilst offering perfect cushioning.
