The new Nike Phantom Vision 2 are now a reality. And, surprising as it may seem, this new generation is being launched as a futsal shoe. The American brand is thus reinforcing its commitment to futsal, which began last year with the return of one of the best shoes in history, the Nike Lunar Gato II IC.

The top-of-the-range Nike futsal shoes are the PRO range. This should not be confused with the ranges we are already familiar with in Nike football boots, where the top-of-the-range is the ELITE. The new Phantom VSN 2 features an updated fit, excellent texture and a much more comfortable and straightforward lacing system. All of this is designed to meet the demands of the most attacking players.
There are few changes to the upper compared to the previous version. However, this new version is designed for those seeking a precise, high-quality fit. The upper is crafted from a Flyknit outer layer and features the now-familiar Ghost Laces system. This system provides a striking, passing and control surface that is completely free from distractions, whilst also allowing the laces to be adjusted to your personal preference with a single movement. QUADFIT technology is also featured in this new generation, with its distinctive triangle situated inside the shoe, as if it were its own hallmark.
Moving on to the midsole and outsole, we can see that the heel counter is very similar to that of the previous generation, which is perfect for providing support during the sudden movements so common in a sport like futsal. In the fit area, we find one of the major new features: the new Dynamic Fit Collar. The ‘sock-like’ collar sits slightly below the medial malleolus, which maximises ankle mobility whilst offering a feeling of support very similar to that found in the Nike Mercurial Superfly boots. The cushioning in this boot is top-class thanks to REACT technology. This is the American brand’s high-end cushioning technology, characterised in particular by its exceptional durability. The shoe is completed by a geometric outsole pattern that provides excellent flexibility and adapts superbly to the most aggressive movements we might make on the court.
