Nike Gripknit appears: a grippy material that provides a better touch on the ball. It adapts to the shape of your foot and gives you the same grip in wet or dry conditions for a sculpted fit, similar to track spikes. The micromoulded texture works with Gripknit to help adapt to your foot for even better boot-to-ball strikes.
The full Flyknit upper is designed for speed. Atomknit, an incredibly lightweight and durable Flyknit, on the sides reduces weight and provides support. Gripknit, Atomknit and Flyknit combine to form the thinnest Mercurial upper to date, bringing you closer to the ball and reducing break-in time.
The wave-shaped traction pattern is a series of cascading studs, so it involves more surface area of the Air Zoom unit. The largest stud is the same height as traditional central studs, so traction is not compromised. Combine the wave-shaped traction with chevron and blade studs to help you stop when making quick cuts.
