Puma King football boots

In recent years, although they didn’t offer much support on the pitch, we had the Puma King Platinum – a truly brilliant model that gave a very modern feel to a ‘classic’ boot, so to speak. However, with the new Puma King Platinum 21, we’re returning somewhat to that more classic boot design, with thicker leather and impact reinforcements. A boot true to what made it great. These new boots from the German brand retain natural leather as the base for the entire forefoot, whilst opting for synthetic microfibre for the rear. A tried-and-tested method that never fails and works for all natural leather football boots.

The leather is slightly thicker than in the previous generation, so it will take longer to mould to your foot – something that will certainly appeal to those of you looking for a sturdier boot that offers greater protection. The tongue has also been redesigned and is no longer attached to the shell, but is now separate. It still uses Puma’s famous Evoknit, but in a slightly thicker version, in keeping with the overall design of the boot. As for the ‘rib’ inserts, we have the well-known foam, which helps provide a bit more grip on the ball and extra cushioning when striking. It’s not as aggressive as in other models, but you do notice it, particularly when passing with the inside of the foot.

As for the sole, we have a new outsole taken directly from the Puma Ultra football boot range – a design already used in previous generations that guarantees perfect comfort and traction. This is due to the use of conical studs, which, as well as providing good traction, allow us to make turns and changes of direction without compromising the comfort of the footfall. The studs are not excessively high, as in the previous generation, so in this respect, the improvement is considerable.

And here are the new Puma King Platinum 21, a model that has undergone a radical redesign, bringing us a boot that’s sturdier, bulkier and offers a feel more reminiscent of the original King boots. New striking elements and unquestionable comfort define the new King.
