Since the adidas X Ghosted first arrived, it has continued to incorporate innovations, both in terms of technology and design. A boot launched in 2020 to recapture the essence of the adidas F50, and it’s succeeding, as most people who try it are delighted with it.
A few days ago, we saw how some of the leading online sports retailers teamed up with adidas to launch customised versions of the adidas X Ghosted. We at Fútbol Emotion were also lucky enough to be part of this project, and we saw for ourselves that adidas has one of the best teams when it comes to creating football boots and sports equipment. And they’ve proven it once again with the new football boots that have just hit the market: the X PF.
We’re looking at a very special design, featuring an animal that holds great significance – something we’ll explain in a moment.
The upper of this boot features the image of a majestic animal that towers above all others, watches over from on high and, above all, is as swift as the wind. We are talking about the peregrine falcon, which is why this edition is named the adidas X Ghosted+ PF, that is, the adidas X Ghosted Peregrine Falcon.
Why this animal in particular? Well, the answer lies in the boot’s own characteristics. The adidas X Ghosted was created with the aim of being one of the lightest boots on the market, and for many, it has succeeded. That is why adidas has chosen to associate it with one of the fastest animals on the planet: the peregrine falcon. An animal which, as well as being extremely fast, stands out for its elegance and predatory instinct – characteristics that fit perfectly with the philosophy of this football boot: a boot designed to make the player faster, more elegant and more lethal in front of goal.
Otherwise, it remains the same boot as always, with absolutely no technical changes. It retains the same upper, made from a very thin synthetic material that hugs the foot, a sole with an extremely lightweight fibre plate, and a padded internal heel counter that provides excellent support and comfort.
