It’s no secret that Marco Reus isn’t exactly a fan of wearing his Puma football boots without laces. Whenever the German brand launches a new boot range, the Borussia Dortmund captain usually turns up straight away wearing those very boots—but without laces. However, over the past week, the German has been taking to the pitch for both matches and training sessions in the Puma Future 5.1 from the Rise Pack. In other words, instead of wearing the latest Future range or even the Ultra, Reus has gone back to a boot that’s no longer in production. The reason? Everything points to Puma possibly launching a laceless version of one of its models very soon. We’ll have to keep an eye out.

This is a reissue inspired by the iconic 2006 model, which retains the original natural leather but incorporates the current sole of the Predator 20+.
