After many years when it was practically impossible to find football boots in dark colours, it seems that the leading brands have finally embraced this trend. At last, we can enjoy the latest models and our favourite boots in more neutral and understated colours, a far cry from the eye-catching designs we’ve become accustomed to from the brands in recent seasons.
Puma Football Eclipse Pack
Black is the colour that gives this new pack its meaning. Puma Football has drawn inspiration from the spectacular solar eclipse witnessed across the Americas, an astronomical phenomenon to which the German brand also wishes to lend a mystical touch. The Eclipse Pack joins the current trend for ‘blackout’-style football boots, and here at Fútbol Emotion, we’re convinced it will be a real treat for fans of classic football boots. On the technical front, this pack allows us to enjoy the German brand’s two main ranges of boots, featuring a black finish and features designed to offer better ball control, fit and speed.
Puma Future 5.1
The real innovation of these Puma Future boots lies in their upper. This is not a boot with a conventional textile upper; instead, built on top of this base is Netfit technology – a mesh that covers virtually the entire upper and allows the player to customise the lacing system to suit their playing style and the shape of their foot. The internal heel counter and Netfit technology work together to provide excellent fit and stability. As a result, the Future 5.1 adapts to both wide and narrow feet thanks to the multiple lacing options offered by the Netfit mesh. Puma has retained the same outsole as seen on the first generation of the Future, featuring a combination of conical and laminated studs.
Puma One 20.1
The natural leather upper stands out for its softness and quality. The stitching around the toe box prevents the leather from stretching excessively and the boot from losing its shape with wear. The evoKNIT ‘sock’ is designed to provide a snug fit, wrapping around the arch of the foot to cover the heel. From the lacing area to the sole plate, there is a series of reinforcements that help maintain stability during lateral movements. The sole plate, made from lightweight Pebax, features a stud pattern that combines conical and laminated shapes to ensure stability both when turning and during high-speed manoeuvres.
These are the top-of-the-range boots that form part of the Puma Eclipse Pack collection. So, which boots will you be wearing to outshine your rivals?
