Community guidelines

Guidelines for fostering a Sports Emotion community that is helpful, relevant, constructive and respectful

The Sports Emotion community is a space designed for sharing opinions and real-life experiences (both positive and negative) with other users. These guidelines set out what kind of content is permitted and what is not.

1. What can you do in our community?

You can post reviews on product pages and mark other users’ reviews as helpful.

This way, every customer can find out what it’s really like to use our products through feedback from other buyers.

2. What is not allowed?

a) Comments on orders and deliveries.

You are not permitted to post reviews or participate in Q&A sessions relating to:

  • - Issues with orders or returns
  • - Problems with delivery or packaging
  • - Delivery costs or times

Why?

The community’s main aim is to help other users learn more about the products, not to review individual experiences relating to the purchasing process.

We welcome any feedback on these matters so that we can continue to improve, but please submit it via Sports Emotion’s official channels or by contacting our customer service team directly.

b) Comments on prices and availability

It is advisable to mention the price when it relates to the product’s value.

Example: These shoes offer great value for money.

You must not make price comparisons with other retailers or personal shopping experiences, as these are not relevant to all users.

Example not permitted: I found them cheaper in another shop.

c) Repetitive content, spam or images containing symbols.

Reviews containing irrelevant or distracting content will not be accepted. This includes:

  • - Repetitive text
  • - Incoherent messages
  • - Content consisting solely of characters or symbols
  • - Drawings made using characters (ASCII)

(d) Personal or confidential information

Do not post private information, whether your own or that of others. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • - Telephone numbers
  • - Email addresses
  • - Postal addresses
  • - Vehicle registration numbers
  • - Data identifiers
  • - Order numbers

(e) offensive language and harassment

You are welcome to express disagreement or debate opinions, provided you do so respectfully. The following is not permitted:

  • - The use of insults, offensive language or vulgar language
  • - Threats or intimidation
  • - Personal attacks
  • - Defamation or provocative messages
  • - Attempting to silence other users through the use of multiple or coordinated accounts

f) Hate speech

Content that promotes hatred or discrimination on the grounds of the following is not permitted:

  • - Race
  • - Ethnic origin
  • - Nationality
  • - Gender
  • - Gender identity
  • - Sexual orientation
  • - Religion
  • Age
  • - Disability

Supporting organisations that promote such messages is also not permitted.

g) External links

It is not permitted to post links to fraudulent websites, websites containing malicious software, or websites intended to mislead users.

URLs containing affiliate codes or commercial references are also not permitted.

(h) Advertising or promotional content

We will not accept posts whose primary purpose is to promote products, companies, websites, authors or external offers.

3. Consequences of non-compliance

Failure to comply with these rules has a negative impact on the quality, safety and reliability of the community. In such cases, Sports Emotion may:

  • - Remove the published content
  • - Restrict the use of certain features
  • - Suspend or terminate the user’s account

If unusual behaviour is detected in reviews, we may restrict the ability to post new reviews.

Furthermore, certain conduct may breach current regulations and give rise to legal liability, including civil or criminal penalties.
