Football kit, or specialist football apparel, is one of the product categories that receives the least attention when new ranges are launched. In this new collection of technical apparel from Nike, the American brand has decided to refine a product that was a huge hit last year. Are you feeling the cold? If so, go for the Nike Snood.

New 2019 Nike Strike Snood

The world of football gear isn’t just about boots – or at least it shouldn’t be. That’s why, as we head into the colder months with autumn and winter just round the corner, today we’re going to take a look at how Nike has subtly updated its Nike Snood neck warmer. It’s an accessory designed to protect us from the cold, perfect for complementing our training kit during the coldest months of the year. Nike has designed this product so that we can wear it whilst playing football, without it causing any discomfort or restricting our movement. However, if we may offer our opinion, we believe it’s also an accessory that fits perfectly into our everyday outfits.

Its ergonomic design means it fits easily around the neck, with a wider lower section and a tighter fit along the rest of the neckline. Thanks to this design, the fit is even better and it provides full protection for the face, neck and ears, leaving only the eyes exposed. The only weak point of the previous version has now been rectified, so this is likely to be one of this winter’s star accessories, which could sell out quickly.

Nike’s new Winter Warrior collection also includes a wide range of accessories to keep out the cold, with details and features that make them unique.

Nike Snood - Mid range

The mid-range Nike Squad Snood offers the same fit and level of protection as the high-end model. The main difference, which is also reflected in the price, lies in the ventilation area. Whilst the high-end model features a laser-microperforated panel, the mid-range version uses a simpler fabric panel.

In terms of its appearance and features, the Nike Snood is reminiscent of a neoprene neck warmer. However, it is clear that Nike has taken the utmost care with both the design and manufacture of this product. The fabric features the DRI-FIT logo, a signature technology of the American brand that we have seen for years on high-end and competition T-shirts. In this case, it helps to manage moisture and maintain comfort during training sessions, even when temperatures are extremely low.
