The Italian national team’s away kit has been unveiled in the same vein as the third kit. Having seen Puma unveil the Renaissance Kit – a jersey steeped in historical significance – it was inevitable that the unveiling of this away kit would be surrounded by the same atmosphere, the same pomp and the same circumstances.
In the design of this away kit for the Italian national team, we can see how Puma is moving away from tradition and from what we consider the norm, just as one of its competitors did with the launch of its Euro 2020 kits. Judging by the two Italy jerseys we’ve seen so far, it’s clear that Puma has not hesitated to step outside its comfort zone to create two designs clearly inspired by the fusion of football and the Renaissance.
Italy official jersey
The Renaissance Kit is inspired, as we have already mentioned, by the Renaissance period and the architecture that defines this culture. The T-shirt features Renaissance motifs that have been completely reimagined as a modern geometric graphic covering the entire white jersey. The design exudes an unmistakably Italian feel and blends Italian culture and lifestyle with the kits of the national team.
All these new design elements on the kits have a meaning. We mustn’t forget that Italy failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. For all these reasons, and bearing in mind the history behind these kits, we can sense the determination with which the Italian national team is approaching Euro 2020.
Let’s not forget that very soon all the official merchandise from the national teams taking part in Euro 2020 will be available on the Fútbol Emotion website, as well as in our high-street shops.
