By now, almost all the teams have revealed what they’ll be wearing next season. We’ve analysed Inter’s jerseys – both their home and away kits – and we’ve looked at many other jerseys, but today we’ll be focusing on Roma’s.
Once again, we’re presented with a very, very classic jersey – not too bold, but not overly traditional either. We see a jersey that embodies the values of the club and the Italian capital, a jersey that pays tribute to Roma’s history, referencing the 1979–80 Coppa Italia, when the club won the trophy and horizontal stripes across the chest were all the rage – a detail we also see on the 2020–21 jersey.
In fact, we can see a jersey in the club’s classic colours – red and, of course, yellow – which features different shades of the same colour across the chest area.
They have chosen the young Zaniolo as their brand ambassador, who has demonstrated his love for these colours with this message:
“It’s like when you fall in love: you feel good with her, she brings out the best in you, you like being seen out and about with her. It’s exactly the same: I love this jersey.”
The Giallorossi star’s message on social media has put a positive spin on the day for Roma fans.
As you’ve seen, this is a kit that aims to revisit the club’s past and bring it into the present with the new champions, who are sure to mark a turning point just as the great stars of the past did.
