First it was the luxury brands, then charitable initiatives and thousands of tutorials made it possible for the vast majority of us to get hold of a face mask, even if it was just a standard surgical one. And now, with the new regulations making face masks compulsory in public spaces where social distancing cannot be guaranteed and in enclosed spaces, our sport was, of course, no exception. SP Fútbol has evolved from being a brand focused solely on goalkeepers to one that encompasses everything a footballer needs. Here we present our sports face masks.
SP Fútbol face masks - The perfect accessory
Clothing brands are already gearing up to incorporate this new accessory into our everyday looks, and more and more brands are launching their own collections of face masks. The latest to join the trend is SP Fútbol, offering four different colours: red, black, blue and white. Furthermore, as with almost every item available on the Fútbol Emotion website, customers are given the chance to add their own personal touch by customising one side of the mask.
It is important to remember that this product is a face mask designed to complement social distancing measures whilst exercising. We have never claimed otherwise. This face mask is designed for low-intensity sports. The SP Fútbol face mask helps prevent the transmission of viruses and germs via droplets.
This face mask has not been tested or certified as PPE or as a protective mask for use in healthcare, care homes or any other setting requiring reduced exposure to airborne contaminants. It is intended to complement social distancing and hygiene measures. The mask must be washed before each use at 60°C using a standard detergent; it is also advisable to wash it before first use. It withstands up to 130 washes without losing its filtering efficiency. This mask has not undergone medical testing to meet the DIN149, EN143 or other similar standards issued by other institutions.

Face mask information:
Since the 21st of May, and pursuant to Order SND/422/2020 published in the Spanish Official State Gazette (BOE) on Tuesday the 19th of May, the wearing of face masks is mandatory in all public spaces, whether indoors or outdoors, where a safe distance of two metres cannot be maintained, with the exception of kids under the age of six and people with respiratory conditions.
Fines for not wearing them are expected to be around 600 euros, according to the Ministry of the Interior, although the Ministry has advised that a grace period will be in place during the first few days of the Health Order’s implementation. However, no specific end date has been given for this period, with the aim of urging the public to comply with these regulations from now on, which unfortunately come at a time of high temperatures, a foretaste of what it may be like to wear face masks throughout the summer.
