Keeping pace with a hectic week of new kit launches, and with some very important decisions still pending in several leagues that have not yet finished, New Balance yesterday unveiled, alongside FC Porto, what will be the away kit for the Porto-based side – one of Portugal’s top clubs – for the upcoming 2020/21 season.

Under the slogan “AZUL, nossa cor”, FC Porto unveiled a jersey that really stands out and has thrilled the blue-and-white club’s supporters thanks to a simple yet effective design. Perhaps that was precisely the aim of the American brand New Balance, based in Boston: to create a minimalist design, but one with a distinctive feature thanks to a deeper, more intense shade of blue that dominates the entire jersey.
Blue therefore takes centre stage in this kit, whilst the rest of the details – with the exception of a few corporate elements in orange on the sleeves, such as the crest and the sponsor’s logo – are in white.
Interestingly, this jersey, like the home kit, features a patch on the inside, in the area of the crest and next to the heart, bearing the words “Nação Porto”. These words form part of the motto that will accompany the blue and white team throughout the coming season.
All their fans will be able to see this new kit in action on the 9th of July against Tondela, in the Liga NOS fixture.
