New in: Nike Terra Pack

The American brand is launching a new collection of football boots with a clear message of commitment to protecting the environment. Introducing the Nike Terra Pack, a collection that we’ll see on pitches and on screens around the world, carrying a message that affects us all: we must come together to protect and preserve our planet.

We’ve just received the latest collection of Nike football boots, the Terra Pack, at Fútbol Emotion’s online store and in our high-street shops. This collection is backed by some of the brand’s top players, although this pack is only available for the Mercurial and Venom boots. The only models missing from this collection are the Nike Phantom Vision and the new Nike Tiempo Legend VIII.

The Nike Terra Pack

It is only after a few months of research and raising awareness that we can understand the reason behind this Nike initiative. We are gradually destroying our planet, and the Swoosh brand aims to alert us to this reality with a striking collection of football boots. The design of both boots reminds us of the earth, our planet, water and also trees. In Nike’s range of speed boots, we can see how white with an earthy tone takes centre stage on the upper, creating a perfect combination with the purple and green outsole. On the Venom boots, white with an earthy tone also takes centre stage, whilst the outsole features an electric blue that harmonises beautifully with the colours of the upper.

Nike Mercurial

As this is merely a colour change, we haven’t found any technical modifications in these Nike Mercurials. The upper of the Mercurials is crafted from a new braided Flyknit material that improves ball feel compared to the previous generation. ACC technology remains, whilst a synthetic NikeSkin layer covers the entire surface to protect the Flyknit fabric.

For the outsole, Nike has opted for a two-piece modular construction. This allows us to minimise weight whilst, at the same time, improving functionality. The studs in the metatarsal area provide traction when the player reaches high speeds, whilst the heel studs aid braking and provide stability.

Nike Phantom Venom

The upper of the Venom features a new NikeSkin material that bears little resemblance to that of the first generation. With this material, Nike aims to provide greater power when striking the ball by making it stiffer, complemented by numerous flex lines distributed across the entire upper. The finish, featuring ACC (All Conditions Control) technology, ensures a secure grip even in the most unfavourable conditions for playing football.

As for the sole, everything remains virtually the same. The conical studs make it easier to turn, dribble and perform agile movements. The bifid plate design ensures stability during the most aggressive movements.
