The Nike Terra Pack

New boots from Nike. The American brand has unveiled a new collection of football boots inspired by the planet Earth.

The new Nike football boots are arriving in all Fútbol Emotion shops, featuring two models designed for power and speed. Both the Nike Phantom Venom and the Nike Mercurial will take centre stage in the collection. The new Terra Pack embodies this movement and the fight against climate change. We’re at a stage where young people have realised that this is essential. It’s worth noting that the Nike Phantom Vision boots are not included in this collection on this occasion, nor are the recently launched Nike Tiempo Legend VIII boots.

The Nike Terra Pack

We can see how Nike’s new boots have been launched following several months of campaigning and recognition of the precarious situation our planet is currently facing. This Nike project certainly aims to do its bit, with our beloved Planet Earth as its emblem. From the American brand’s speed range, the Nike Mercurial football boot is presented in an intriguing off-white shade, contrasting with the two colours featured on the sole: purple and green. Meanwhile, from the American brand’s control range, the Nike Phantom Venom football boot is once again presented in off-white, contrasting with a stunning electric blue outsole.

The football boots worn by Harry Kane, Lewandowski and Leroy Sané, amongst others, are designed to enhance the player’s strike thanks to Precision PWR technology in the instep, which also makes the most of the boot’s surface area by directing the laces outwards.

The upper is made from Flyknit material across virtually its entire surface, with the textured finish on the toe box providing extra grip when in contact with the ball. The outsole features a pattern of laminated studs that deliver much more aggressive traction during quick, short movements.

Nike Mercurial

The redesign of the upper is key to understanding, in a positive light, the radical transformation this football boot has undergone, as the new Flyknit appears to have won the trust of all the footballers who wear the American brand’s boots. As well as providing the necessary propulsion and braking, thanks to the sole’s anatomical and modular plate – which has been slightly modified to incorporate a central rib that enhances durability in that area using Aerotrak technology – the studs are 1 mm taller than on the previous model, improving grip with every step we take in our new Mercurials.

Above all, what the Nike sock-like boots will give you is a feeling of a perfect fit, thanks to the central lacing system, which completely wraps around the foot. The most outstanding feature of the boot – and the reason it’s considered one of the best speed boots – lies in its outsole; the very definition of power, grip and explosiveness. The downside of the Mercurial, however, lies once again in its sole. BE VERY CAREFUL if you’re going to use them on artificial turf – it’s strongly advised against. For that, there’s the Nike Mercurial Superfly VII AG-Pro version, which is much better suited to this type of surface.
