Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé has just received the latest exclusive boots that Nike has made for him. They are, of course, the latest generation of Nike Air Zoom Mercurial football boots, the new generation of Nike's speed silo.
The boot is packed with details, as this version pays tribute to Mbappé's entire journey through the world of football and combines different elements from previous boots worn by the French star. The purple boot with gold accents makes it very, very elegant.
If we go over the details, there are many: the flames on the heel come directly from the 2018 ‘Rising Fire’ boots, and the swoosh with those gold details alludes to the 2019 ‘Bondy Dreams’ boots, named after Mbappé's birthplace. The other Swoosh, with its lightning bolt pattern, refers to the boots he wore in 2020, and the flames on the side take us back to the 2021 “Flames” edition. We finish off the details, of course, with two stars on the Flyknit, alluding to the titles won with France, and on the insole we have a special motivational phrase for the player.
As you can see, this time we have a special edition that we love, as it is steeped in history and details that, in this case, even refer to other football boot models that many of you will have worn, just like Mbappé, in recent years.
On a technical level, there are no changes this time around. The Gripknit upper remains, and we also have the Airzoom plate firmly in place in the sole, giving us that extra touch of comfort on the pitch, as well as excellent responsiveness in one of the best speed boots currently available.
These are the new Air Zoom Mercurial boots for Kylian Mbappé, a special edition that will be available in both Vapor and Superfly versions. If you want to be one of the first to wear them on the pitch, they will be available on the 21st April on the Fútbol Emotion website.
