A new collection of Nike football boots that is sure to delight fans and players with a taste for the classics. The new football boots are taking centre stage this February, a busy month for brands. It’s a crucial time, as the competitions are now reaching their peak and the teams that will win and lose are beginning to emerge. This means that Nike has finally officially launched its latest collection, known as the Black x Prism Pack.
New Nike Black x Prism Pack
It’s trickier than it looks to create a black boot with enough character to stand out from the rest of the blackout models on the market, but once again, Nike has hit the mark: with simple detailing, it ensures that its new collection isn’t just another black edition, but one that appeals to everyone—from the more conservative to the more daring.
We can see how the iridescent colours against a black background are the undisputed stars of this pack. Nike has very cleverly chosen this concept to cater to the different types of players we mentioned earlier. It’s a combination that’s hard to come by, but through this design, they inevitably come together: a understated background with subtle yet striking accents.

We’ll start with the most classic yet modern design, and that’s none other than the Nike Tiempo football boots, as seeing a classic-style boot in these colours always catches the eye. The silver detailing runs across the kangaroo leather, with the accents concentrated on the back. It’s a look that’s sure to turn heads.
Gerard Piqué’s boots are a real treat, as they perfectly combine classic materials—being kangaroo leather football boots—with a synthetic heel counter that not only reduces the weight but also provides an excellent fit for a leather boot. The sole features ‘Hyperstability’ technology, which, as the name suggests, maintains stability with every step. The quintessential Nike style with colours that really stand out.

The first thing that catches the eye and stands out most in the design and construction of this upper is undoubtedly the positioning of the laces. The lacing system on this boot has been moved to the outer side of the boot—a feature previously seen on the old Total 90—to allow the player to have an even greater contact surface with the ball. By moulding these textures directly into the upper using a top-quality material such as Nike Flyknit, it was possible to create a boot that offers a very soft feel and touch, with plenty of flexibility and no issues regarding weight, as these are extremely lightweight boots.
The sole and studs on this boot are completely new. However, if we may say so, we think its aesthetic design is also entirely inspired by the sole design of the old Total 90. That said, this new Nike Hyperquick system features a chassis with a combination of different types of studs. At the heel, there is a stiffer area, with two tapered studs at the tip that will provide immense support when planting your feet to make a quicker change of direction, and we can also see laminated studs across the sole, where these same studs will help with stability and traction on the pitch. We think this stud pattern is better suited to this type of boot and was really the right choice by Nike for this agility boot.
