We’re now in the final stretch of the year, but Nike isn’t going to let 2021 come to an end without first unveiling its latest collection. Nike Football Recharge Pack is the name the Americans have given it, and the colours yellow and blue will be responsible for uniting the three silos. This pack is simply a colour change, devoid of technological innovations and generational leaps; a facelift for the three Nike models with the aim of offering consumers something different.
Let’s start with the Nike Mercurial football boots, Nike’s speed range and, without a doubt, the one that best embodies this concept in the world of football boots. Both the Superfly and the Vapor are boots that look great in bold, eye-catching colours, but it’s also true that not all Mercurial users are looking for that, as demonstrated by the fact that stocks sell out immediately whenever Nike releases this model in black.
It’s true that black isn’t the main colour this time round, but after several collections in fluorescent shades, the Nike Mercurial football boots have adopted a slightly more muted blue than their predecessors, giving this iconic model a fresh new look. Moving on to the Flyknit section, we continue with the muted colours, as a very dark blue, a close relative of black, is what we’ll find there.
But these are the Nike Mercurial football boots, and things weren’t going to be all dark and subdued, so for the most important feature – none other than the Swoosh – the American brand’s designers have opted for a fluorescent yellow that infuses these football boots with personality, whilst also complementing the rest of the colours perfectly. But the yellow doesn’t stop there. Both the details on the inside and outside of the heel, as well as the entire sole, are also in this colour, meaning that on these Nike Mercurial football boots as a whole, a colour that started out as secondary steals the limelight from what was, in theory, supposed to be the main one.
We continue with the Nike Phantom GT football boots, the American brand’s flagship range, which is playing an increasingly prominent role within the Swoosh brand. As was the case with the previous Motivation Pack, Nike’s designers have decided to split the upper of these Phantom GT football boots into two sections, creating a distinctive yet visually appealing design.
On this occasion, the colours chosen for the two parts of the upper are blue for the top and grey for the bottom, with the two colours separated by black lines that complete the design of these Nike football boots. But what about the yellow? As with the Mercurial football boots, the yellow adds a splash of colour to both the Swoosh and the ‘Phantom GT’ and ‘Flyknit’ logos, bringing a striking touch to a design which is a great piece of work by Nike.
This is the new Nike Football Recharge Pack, a collection featuring blue as its main colour, which is now available both in-store and on the Fútbol Emotion website.
Nineties nostalgia is back with a combination of the new adidas Predator boots and the signature 90s aesthetic of adidas EQT. These luxurious boots are going to be thoroughly analysed.
