Puma’s new football boots mark a new generation. And this is precisely what best represents Puma: the future, the next generation and innovation. It’s clearly the kind of boot a modern player would wear, but bear in mind that if there’s one thing the German brand excels at, it’s offering a range of options to all footballers – take, for example, the recently unveiled Puma King Platinum football boot. This new Puma Chasing Adrenaline Pack is all about the thrill of the chase – the tension that raises your blood pressure, heart rate and blood glucose levels, and speeds up your metabolism. It’s the thrill of the game.
Puma Chasing Adrenaline Pack - Strike and speed
The end of summer is here, and with it come the excitement, the enthusiasm and the focus so necessary to tackle a new season. With this in mind, Puma has got its act together by launching one of the most prominent boots in the world of speed, the ULTRA, which we’ll go into more detail about later. As well as a generational ‘change’ to the Future. We say ‘change’ because, by all accounts, the football boot is the same as the one we saw in the previous Puma Rise Pack.
The tagline for this new pack stems from an intense craving to experience the sensations triggered by the release of adrenaline, which manifests itself in a range of behaviours and emotions: a relentless pursuit of adrenaline. The need to experience that feeling of pleasure and euphoria is uncontrollable and drives our daily motivations, with our sport always on our minds and in our hearts.
Puma Future 6.1 Chasing Adrenaline Pack
As we described in the post on the Puma Future Rise Pack, they were created to make a big impact in 2020. A true statement of intent, designed to give the competition a run for their money. The Puma Future football boots are, as their name suggests, the future. Starting with the upper, we see a dramatic change compared to the Puma Future 4.1 from the previous generation, and absolutely none from the earlier 5.1. We can see that there is no longer as much mesh in the NETFIT, and there are fewer lace holes, with laces now positioned only where necessary. Furthermore, they feature a much more adaptable NETFIT support system, with a fully knitted upper for a better fit and stability, and a GripControl Pro Layer applied to the areas most frequently struck by the ball, in the form of grooves.
One of the key features of the Puma Future football boot is its lightness; to achieve this, it features a reactive Pebax midsole with RapidAgility technology, stabilising bars across the instep, and a combination of laminated and conical studs to ensure traction in all conditions, supporting explosive, multi-directional movement.
Puma ULTRA 1.1 Chasing Adrenaline Pack
As we explained in our previous post on the new Puma ULTRA football boot, the German brand has combined a fully dynamic silhouette with an extremely lightweight upper, known as MATRYXEVO. It is a fully engineered, technologically advanced boot featuring an outsole designed for instinctive running. The MATRYXEVO upper allows Puma to use a single layer of material, bringing this fabric much closer to the foot, whilst providing exceptional support with extraordinary lightness. This is the first time this material has been used in a football boot. In addition, an extra component has been applied across the upper: a GripControl Pro skin in key areas of the shell to provide complete control and precise grip on the ball when moving at extreme speeds.
Attached to the upper is a lightweight Pebax SpeedUnit outsole, featuring a bifurcated outsole design inspired by Puma’s stud DNA for dynamic acceleration. The outsole plate combines subtle triad-shaped studs in the forefoot with V-shaped blades for added aerodynamics, engineered for explosive speed.
