The new speed boot from adidas is undoubtedly one of the contenders for best football boot of the year, not only because of the quality of the footwear, but also because of the quantity. Adidas is one of the brands that also takes the most care with its mid-range and lower-range products, and it is precisely for this reason that any model presented by the German brand performs to the best of its ability.
The top-of-the-range football boot is obviously the X Speedportal+, a laceless boot with advanced technologies such as ‘stability wings’ and EVA rubber inserts, which we have already discussed in our post on the X Speedportal.To justify the nearly £250 price tag of this boot, we can point to the sole, which many consider to be the best sole currently on the market. Made of carbon fibre, it provides the wearer with sufficient responsiveness and traction for professional performance.
Next, adidas offers us the chance to buy practically the same boot, with the same technologies and the same feel, but with laces: the X Speedportal.1. As I just mentioned, it is exactly the same boot with two fundamental differences: the presence of laces and the absence of the EVA rubber insert. Most X Speedportal enthusiasts much prefer this model to the previous one. All this for an approximate price of two hundred and fifty pounds.
Later, we can find one of the best options in terms of value for money. The X Speedportal.2 is a boot that you should definitely consider if you want high-quality footwear at a more than reasonable price: £120... what more could you ask for? It features all the same materials as the two previous boots, although in this case Adidas has chosen to omit most of the technologies mentioned in the first paragraphs.
Logically, the boot we are going to describe now is the X Speedportal.3, which we can define as the first mid-low range of this silo. This particular model comes in many different options, such as the laceless version, the lace-up version, the model with a Turf sole... in short, a very wide variety. The boot looks very similar to the previous ones, but as they say, appearances can be deceiving. In fact, what we perceive through the design is not entirely real, as it is almost impossible to talk about technologies due to their absence. The boot in question is constructed with a stiffer and less fitted knit, which still fulfils its function.
