A few days ago, adidas unveiled the Atmospheric Pack, a collection in which the Predator and Nemeziz boots feature a new colourway. On this occasion, we’ll be focusing specifically on the new Predator boots, a model worn by numerous top-flight footballers, but which have featured the same colour scheme in recent releases. Let’s take a closer look.
Let’s start with the latest Predator boots, part of the Atmospheric Pack, which feature three main colours: black, white and gold. Black dominates virtually the entire boot, both on the upper and the sole; white appears on the three classic adidas stripes; and gold is reserved solely for the rear of the sole. It is precisely these three colours that have been repeated time and again across different models from the German brand.
Let’s take Pogba’s boots as an example and analyse them together. Once again, we have an all-black boot that’s visually striking and full of character. The three adidas stripes appear in white and, as Pogba’s personal touch, we see his logo repeated all over the upper, following an aesthetic inspired by current fashion trends. And, of course, this logo appears in gold. Once again, we find the same combination: black, white and gold.

But the story doesn’t end there. Now let’s take a look at the Predator boots from the Inflight Pack, which we’ve seen worn, for example, by Morata, the Juventus striker. We’ve chosen this particular example precisely because the combination of boots and kit is perfect. In this model, white is the dominant colour, serving as a base for the black, which is mainly present on the front of the boot, as if it were a large patch covering the instep. The three stripes appear in gold, the same shade we also find on the heel.
This brings us to an interesting conclusion: three of the last four versions of the Predator feature exactly the same colours. It’s true that they’re combined in different ways, but they retain the same colour tones and the same visual identity.
Honestly, we think adidas is preparing something really significant. It feels as though the brand is playing with the idea of repeating designs to make people think it no longer has any new ideas, but it could actually be building anticipation for a much bigger launch. What do you think?
