Design
Let's start by talking about the colour design of this SE launch. White never fails: it's an elegant shade that always looks good on any boot. The way Nike presents all the new features of these boots to its users is simply spectacular. Adding this to the overall aesthetic, we find a very attractive design that highlights the technological advances incorporated, allowing anyone to instantly recognise that we are looking at a new generation of what, for many, remains the number one football boot on the planet.
Shell
As for the upper part of this new boot, I can assure you that it remains extremely comfortable. The material is flexible to the touch and offers great contact with both the foot and the ball. The presence of Flyknit, although limited, is key to the comfort you feel from the moment you put them on.
Moving on to the interior, the upgrade from the old Vaporsite to the new Vaporsite+ has resulted in a new internal mould. The shape, which was slightly wider in the previous generation, has been adjusted and is now more snug thanks to the addition of a new technological layer on the upper. This improves the fit and provides a greater sense of control and contact with the ball.
However, it's not all bad news with this change to Vaporsite+, as this set of technologies is precisely what gives these boots great flexibility, greater durability and better grip when in contact with the ball, as well as maintaining the ACC treatment.
Sole
And now we come to the sole, which takes on even greater prominence in this new generation of Mercurial boots, because this is where we find the main innovation in this range and the feature that gives these new Nike football boots their name: Nike's AIR ZOOM, the classic air chambers that we already know from the American brand's high-performance running shoes.
Also worth mentioning is the obvious change in the studs, both in design and layout, on the front of the sole. We find a design that we had already seen in previous models, but which, updated for the demands of modern football, makes these boots even more aggressive, with greater responsiveness in sudden changes of direction and even more power in sprints.
