The adidas Superstealth Pack

The German brand is kicking off the new year exactly as it ended the last one: by making a big splash in the market with the launch of new products designed to make a real difference to the end consumer. Taking advantage of the fact that it’s winter—when the days are shorter and it stays dark longer—adidas is releasing a ‘blackout’ boot pack, this time featuring just two of its models: the adidas X Ghosted and the Nemeziz+.

Given that this adidas launch has almost become a tradition at this time of year, all of us who follow adidas know exactly what to expect from the German brand when it comes to these football boots. Dark colours are the order of the day and are clearly set to stand out above all else. However, in this collection, adidas has done it again and, despite the obvious limitations in terms of colour, has managed to present two adidas football boots where the main base is clearly that darker shade, but where we can also see it throughout the upper. Boots where elegance and refinement stand out, where the brand aims to add a touch of vibrancy with the introduction of flashes of small neon accents in brighter colours.

We are more than happy to admit that the adidas X Ghosted football boots were one of the pleasant surprises of 2020. In this new year of 2021, the German brand’s speed boots are once again taking centre stage, and this is clearly evident in this new collection, where we see the X boots taking on a super-stylish look, with touches of blue appearing on the forefoot and heel of the boot. All of this makes this boot the perfect weapon for footballers.

In this collection, the X Ghosted is accompanied solely by the Nemeziz+, yet Lionel Messi’s football boots are one of the key highlights of this collection, as they are the most highly regarded for the elegance, subtlety and understated style that adidas always seeks in this type of collection. The adidas Nemeziz “SuperStealth” football boots are more understated than those in the previous collection. A look that is very hard to take your eyes off or even to forget, yet in this collection – and despite all the discretion and elegance that adidas sought to imbue in its so-called agility boots – we can see how, within this traditionally darker look, there are small flashes of iridescence that shimmer across the sole and grow in intensity and vibrancy towards the upper. All of this gives these boots a soft, understated and elegant look.
