The F50 is a piece of football history. If you’ve ever played the beautiful game, you’re bound to have seen – or even tried on – a model from one of the most iconic ranges in adidas’ history. The F50 was launched in 2004 with the aim of revolutionising the concept of adidas football boots as we knew them at the time. From that moment on, the range evolved with each generation to become one of the icons of speed when it comes to football boots.

For the past few years, adidas has been bringing back memories of the past with reissues of some of the most iconic football boots in the brand’s history. Naturally, the F50 has featured in several of these reissues, and in today’s post we’ll be taking a look at them all.

F50 TUNIT

In 2019, the German brand surprised us with the first reissue of the adidas F50 football boots. The model chosen for this first reissue was the F50 Tunit, a boot that marked a turning point in the history of football boots. This model was characterised by the ability to change the upper, chassis and studs to suit your preferences, with the brand offering a wide range of colours and materials to choose from. Aware of the significance of the adidas F50 Tunit football boots in the history of the sport, the brand decided to launch a remake of those boots 13 years after their original release, retaining the same upper as the F50 Tunit whilst updating the sole to ensure they were not only stylish but also functional.

F50 MEMORY LANE

We’ve moved on to 2020, the most significant year for the reissues of the adidas F50 football boots. The German brand decided to launch a collaboration with the world’s six leading sports retailers, including Fútbol Emotion, giving us all the chance to design our own adidas football boots under a single condition: the boots had to be F50s.

F50 MEMORY LANE FÚTBOL EMOTION

The model chosen by Fútbol Emotion was the adidas F50 Crazylight football boot, a model launched in 2014; we used exactly the same upper as that original boot, though we did change the exterior design. Speaking of the design, these F50 Crazylight boots were created with a black base, against which a series of gold hexagons stand out, referencing the panels of footballs, the goal nets, but above all, the Fútbol Emotion logo.

Without a doubt, these are some of the most stylish and elegant football boots we’ve seen to date, and it seems the brand took a liking to them too, as in 2021 they released something similar, which we’ll discuss below. They certainly went down well with our customers, who snapped up every pair of these adidas football boots in 55 minutes, as well as with Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, who didn’t hesitate to wear them in several La Liga Santander and Champions League matches.

F50 CHAMPIONS

We’re jumping forward in time again to September 2021, when adidas unveiled the second-generation remake of the adidas F50 Adizero football boots, featuring a design inspired by the Champions League. Lightness reached its peak in 2011 with the launch of these football boots. The brand lowered the weight bar to 145 grams, something no one had achieved before, putting adidas at the forefront of lightness and minimalism in football boots. Ten years on, and featuring a colourway inspired by the world’s premier club competition, the German brand presented this reissue of the model that marked a turning point in adidas football boots.

F50 LEGENDS

They may be the latest to arrive, but this certainly won’t be the last F50 remake we see. At the end of 2021, adidas unveiled a collection featuring three of the most iconic boots in its history. The chosen ones were the Adipure, the Predator Pulse, and, of course, the first generation of the adidas F50 adizero. It was 2010, the World Cup was being played in South Africa, and a young Leo Messi was establishing himself as a global star with a pair of F50s on his feet. All of this called for a game-changer, and that’s exactly what adidas delivered. The F50 Adizero revolutionised the brand’s concept of speed boots with an extremely lightweight, low-profile upper and a sole engineered and designed for accelerating, braking and turning at top speed.

Eleven years later, adidas unveiled a remake of these iconic football boots, featuring a different design to the one we mentioned earlier, as these are the boots that bear such a striking resemblance to the adidas F50 Memory Lane Crazylight from Fútbol Emotion. Understated, with all the class in the world, and featuring just one technological modification compared to the originals: the sole. The German brand always releases these reissues with an updated sole, so you can compete in them without any problems.

These are the only football boots featured on this blog that you can still buy from Fútbol Emotion, as they only went on sale a few days ago. If we were you, we wouldn’t miss the chance to get our hands on a pair of this stunning reissue of one of the most iconic models in the history of adidas – and of football boots.
