The New Balance Leather Pack

Here comes one of the most anticipated launches – and, above all, one of the products most loved by sports gear enthusiasts and fans of classic boots alike. It’s for those who dare to embrace new technologies without losing that essence of old-school football. For all of you who love the feel of natural leather and the innovations brought to you by the brands: the New Balance Leather Pack.

Last July, the American brand New Balance unveiled its latest innovation to the world. A leap forward. A strategic move and a demonstration of what this brand is capable of, showcasing the new New Balance Tekela 3 football boots to the world. Furthermore, within this range, speed is a hallmark of the ‘N’ brand, as the sixth iteration of the Furon line accompanies it. All this may be ‘too’ innovative. There’s nothing wrong with that, but New Balance is aware that not everyone is quite so daring when it comes to their kit, and that all tastes and preferences must be catered for. That’s why, for those with a more classic taste, this Leather Pack is being launched.

New Balance Leather Pack

Generally speaking, in both models, the upper features natural leather; this time, unlike classic versions such as the NB Classic 442 boot, the entire surface is lined with top-quality kangaroo leather, providing superb grip, touch and feel when in contact with the ball. This is particularly striking in the case of the Tekela, as it is a laceless boot; the leather stretches perfectly across the upper, thus maintaining a 360-degree fit at all times. The only detail that has changed is the Furon; although it remains attached to the upper, it has a slightly more classic cut.

The chosen colour, unsurprisingly, is black, with corporate logos and orange detailing, giving both pairs of football boots that elegant, understated look characteristic of genuine leather boots. Although genuine leather is the defining feature of this launch, nothing else has changed. Let’s take a quick look.

New Balance Tekela v3 Pro

These New Balance Tekela v3 boots feature a laceless forefoot, which incorporates a 3D weave made using Kinetic Stitch technology and foam to provide greater softness. The key innovation is the laceless upper, which is designed entirely for players who want a boot free from distractions. We can see how the boot is completed by the aforementioned 3D-woven pattern. The new KINETIC STITCH technology returns in this third generation; powered by an algorithm, it is exclusively incorporated into the technology, giving it a high-resolution finish and even greater visibility of its striking zones. The upper is made entirely from Hipoknit, a much softer yarn/knit that allows the player to adjust the boot to their feet as perfectly as possible. These boots are designed to provide the player with stability and comfort unlike anything seen before in previous New Balance boots. The new Tekela boots are undoubtedly designed for all types of athletes, yet they have been designed and manufactured to the specifications of elite professional athletes. The outsole features a lighter nylon chassis and multi-directional TPU studs, which will significantly increase traction on the pitch and aid the player’s acceleration on firmer surfaces.

New Balance Furon v6

Whilst the previous generation saw hardly any changes compared to earlier models, this time there are enough modifications to warrant calling it a generational leap. The upper features the new FIT WEAVE technology, a revolutionary knit that significantly enhances lightness and comfort compared to the inner mesh of the previous generation. Unsurprisingly, FIT WEAVE is combined with ‘hidraskin’. Moving on to the chassis, the new features include the ‘sock’ and the lacing area itself. The lacing area has been modified, and with good reason, as significant changes are evident. Firstly, the tongue has been completely removed, making way for Hyper-Lock technology – a feature sure to please fans of the ‘barefoot’ feel and tighter-fitting boots. Eleven studs in a triad pattern, one of which is positioned opposite the central axis, provide traction at top speed, whilst those at the heel aid braking and offer stability. A very aggressive, highly responsive outsole that is proving popular with anyone seeking this kind of powerful traction for maximum support on the pitch. Designed for players competing at the highest level who want to maximise their speed on natural or state-of-the-art artificial turf.
