The new Puma Future boots have now been officially unveiled. Antoine Griezmann had already made his exclusive debut in them during FC Barcelona’s match against Eibar, in which the French striker even managed to score a goal.
Puma and the Dutch fashion and lifestyle brand Balr have joined forces in a very special collaboration to create a limited-edition premium collection featuring football boots, training gear and urban-style clothing. Some of you may not be familiar with Balr or its origins, but this Dutch brand has already made a name for itself in the world of football. Many players recognise it for its contemporary, cutting-edge designs and for its travel products and accessories for men and women. Since its foundation in 2013, Balr has won over some of the world’s best footballers.
Puma Future Balr
When asked about this collaboration with Puma, Demy de Zeeuw, creative director at Balr, said: “Football is the main cultural influence for millions of people across the globe, and the game goes far beyond the 90 minutes played on the pitch. Our collaboration with Puma is aimed at those who live and breathe football and express their style both on and off the pitch.”
Technical features: Puma Future
Although this is a limited edition, the Puma Future Le Balr, now available at Fútbol Emotion, feature no technological changes compared to the previous version. Puma’s major innovation lies in the upper. These are not boots with a conventional textile upper: the Netfit technology is incorporated into the fabric, a mesh that covers the entire upper and allows the lacing to be customised to each player’s preferences.
The internal counter and Netfit technology are what make fit and stability two of these boots’ key strengths. Their lacing system offers a range of options to accommodate both wide and narrow feet. Puma has retained the same outsole it introduced in the first generation of the Future range, featuring a combination of conical and laminated studs strategically positioned to provide maximum traction in every aspect of the game.
