The Spark Positivity Pack

Cristiano Ronaldo is making history at the European Championships. After leading Portugal to their first-ever European Championship title, the Portuguese striker is etching his name into the competition’s history books with one record after another. As well as being the only player to have featured in five different Euros, a few days ago he became the all-time top scorer with 12 goals. An insatiable goal-scoring machine who is never satisfied and who works every day to remain the best in the world.

Seeing all this, Nike has created a special pair of Mercurials for Portugal’s number 7 – an exclusive colourway for CR7 that he’ll wear throughout the tournament. We’ve already seen him take to the pitch in these new boots, both against Germany and Hungary. The pack is called “Spark Positivity”. Let’s take a closer look at what it’s all about!

It’s no surprise that CR7 is performing at this level at the age of 36. We all know about the dedication and hard work Ronaldo puts in every day to maintain his peak form; we all know that he works on his physical condition daily through constant training and a strict, disciplined diet, but what not everyone knows – and what often goes unnoticed – is the mental and emotional training he undertakes. He says it often: one of his greatest strengths has always been his mind, the character of his spirit and his positivity. By keeping these qualities sharp through reading, meditation and daily study, Ronaldo has become what he is today: one of the greatest of all time. And that is precisely the message that Nike and CR7 have sought to convey to young people: to study and maintain a positive attitude, even in the face of the various challenges that life throws at us.

Let’s move on to the colourway, which features two main colours – red and white – that alternate to create lightning bolts across the upper. There’s also a huge Swoosh with another Nike logo inside it, this time smaller and in orange. Naturally, the CR7 logo is also present, as you’d expect on a boot of this kind. Finally, on both insoles we can see how various details have been added, such as Cris’s signature, his logo once again, and finally his now-classic celebration.

In terms of technology, there is no difference compared to the other Mercurial colourways.
