Artificial grass football boots
In recent months and even years, we have seen certain players choose AG football boots to use on natural grass pitches. This happens in very specific cases, but nevertheless, it still catches our attention to see it today.
We usually see professional players using FG or even mixed versions, as the Premier League pitches in the top leagues tend to be very wet and are perfect for these boots. However, this trend of choosing football boots with AG studs is a personal choice made by some players.
Then why choose AG? Well, traction on the pitch will normally be lower, and some players who do not need that feeling of traction when running sometimes prefer small, round studs. In this case, we must bear in mind that, with less grip, we may slip or even suffer an injury if our foot is not stable enough when performing certain movements.
It may also be that some footballers have suffered a long-term injury and try to keep their feet less planted in order to improve flexibility and therefore not have as much support when changing direction or turning. This may make sense, but instead of using an AG boot, it may be better to look for a softer sole or one with conical studs that are adapted to natural grass. This lack of grip on soft pitches may cause new injuries rather than helping.
In conclusion, and this is key, if you don't like the grip of your FG boot or want less grip, the best option may be to look for another boot with less aggressive studs and not copy some professionals who, don't forget, are always well advised by physios and doctors, and for safety reasons, supervise this type of choice. Fortunately, at Futbol Emotion, we have a great catalogue of different types of boots where you can choose whichever ones best suit your game.
