Sunday night's big match gave people a lot to talk about, and even though two days have passed, there is still debate about whether Kessie's goal was correctly disallowed or not. The truth is that Napoli managed to win a fairly important match thanks to Elmas' goal, but above all thanks to the intuition of manager Spalletti. The latter also stood out for his look on the pitch, more specifically for his shoes. If you think he wore special or limited edition trainers, you are very much mistaken: Luciano Spalletti decided to wear the most iconic adidas football boots of all time, the Copa Mundial.
We are not used to seeing coaches wearing
football boots on Sundays, but many of us liked seeing Spalletti wearing them, as if he were one of the team, the twelfth player on the pitch. But the real question is: why did he decide to wear boots to manage his team from the bench?
Fortunately, he responded during the post-match interview on DAZN, saying that he did it solely because he had never played in a stadium like San Siro and, furthermore, had never been part of such a close-knit and united group as Napoli. Basically, it's what we mentioned in the previous paragraph: he did it to feel even more part of the group and wanted to do it with the football boots he used when he was younger. It's not something you see every day. A coach on the bench wearing football boots, and those of us who love this world appreciate it, very much so.
What do you think? You can write your thoughts in the comments below, but above all, we want you to tell us which coach you would like to see wearing boots on Sundays.
