Brand new from NB

The American brand is really stepping up its game: just today, it has unveiled a new package packed with new features and improvements. Let’s take a look at what’s involved!

After watching Liverpool’s latest match, we realised that Mané wasn’t wearing his usual boots, but a different pair of Furons, featuring a striking and eye-catching new colour scheme. Many had already guessed as much thanks to the major advertising campaign the brand had run in recent days, and realised that New Balance was working on something significant, which has finally been announced today: a new pack with new colours and some functional changes as well.

Furon 6+

As we mentioned earlier, the Furon boots have been given a makeover, becoming much more eye-catching and striking thanks to the new colours chosen by New Balance. The shades selected are a lime yellow and a vibrant orange that complement each other perfectly and really stand out on the pitch. In addition to the aesthetic changes, there are also some minor technological improvements. The area that has undergone the most changes is undoubtedly the collar, which has been completely redesigned to adopt a more anatomical shape and improve both the entry of the foot into the boot and the overall fit. With this small tweak, NB offers a better solution than previous versions, achieving an almost perfect lockdown that stabilises the foot and limits any unnecessary movement.

Otherwise, we still have the same football boot with an upper made from a state-of-the-art fabric, which is highly elastic and lightweight so as not to add extra weight to the boot. The outsole, constructed from the familiar TPU, maintains its flexibility and responsiveness thanks to the arrangement and shape of the studs.

Tekela V3

The American brand’s first – and so far only – laceless football boot has changed colour once again, this time combining dark shades with much brighter hues. Personally, we think the colour scheme chosen for this boot is spectacular, as it incorporates the lime yellow and vibrant orange we saw previously, but only as secondary colours, appearing only in small design details. This creates a striking contrast with the navy blue, the boot’s main colour.

This model changes only in terms of aesthetics, as there are no technological modifications. The Tekela V3 retains its exclusive design and KINETIC STITCH algorithmic technology, which enhances the toe box and striking area to offer exceptional ball control. The stretchy upper covers the entire foot and, together with the laceless Hypoknit closure, enhances comfort and ensures a stable, secure fit.

The outsole is designed for professional footballers and features a lightweight nylon chassis with multi-directional TPU studs that provide incredible grip and acceleration on firm ground. A model designed for the future stars of football.
