These new Reusch goalkeeper gloves have been unveiled in line with the brand’s recent launches. Hugo Lloris is currently, without a doubt, one of the best goalkeepers in the world. The French goalkeeper, a World Cup winner and current Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper, is a leader both on and off the pitch. That is why Reusch has found in the French goalkeeper the perfect figure to represent the brand both on and off the pitch. A top-10 goalkeeper, without a doubt.
As we mentioned in another blog post about Reusch goalkeeper gloves, it’s worth noting that, in this range created for Hugo Lloris, Reusch has not made any technological changes. What we can see with these gloves, just as with the exclusive edition football boots for professional players, is that every goalkeeper has their own preferences. In this case, Lloris has clearly opted for goalkeeper gloves with a design based solely on two colours – yellow and black – and a roll-negative cut.
Technical features: Reusch Fit Control
Although more than a year has passed since the launch of the Fit Control range, these new gloves have a more technical name that differs from that of the brand’s previous collections, such as Repulse, Receptor, Prisma and Waorani. Although the name bears no relation to those collections, the design does feature some elements reminiscent of the 2017 Reusch Prisma, particularly across the back of these new gloves. The German latex blend used on the palm has been enriched with various special additives to enhance its performance, offering extreme softness and top-quality grip. However, although Reusch has added small dots of sturdier latex to the palm to slightly improve its durability, it is important to note that this compound is designed exclusively for very soft surfaces, specifically natural grass. This is because the G3 Fusion foam is extremely soft and is designed to deliver maximum grip performance.
We’ve reached the section where traditional goalkeepers will find exactly what they’ve been looking for. These gloves feature anatomical contours across the entire palm that extend to completely wrap around the thumb. Moving to the back of the hand, we see that it is made from 3D Air Vent mesh and features the ProFlex system in the central area. It also incorporates two latex panels with different textures and flex points.
