As has become the norm in recent years, we have new third kits from Nike, and of course, as this is perhaps the least ‘traditional’ jersey, we have some very bold designs and concepts that we absolutely love.
Tottenham Hotspur
Just like their away kit, the Spurs have a truly eye-catching third kit. With the mix of colours throughout the weave, it’s a design that won’t go unnoticed.
The design was created in collaboration with the team at Tottex studio, resulting in the art print we see here and the bold colours that feature across the shirt. The collar and sleeves are black, and the collar features the N17 detail – a neighbourhood in London associated with young people, which is exactly what this jersey was designed to represent. Youthful energy on the Spurs jersey.
RB Leizpig
RB Leipzig’s third kit draws inspiration from the city’s electro and techno scene, featuring a striking design in vibrant shades of blue and pink, along with the glitch aesthetic so closely associated with the area’s clubs.
On the back of the neck is the slogan “you can do anything”, a statement that embodies the strength and message this jersey aims to convey. It’s an amazing kit brought to life by Nike and one of the standout designs of the moment.
Liverpool FC
The Reds’ new jersey references the yellow and red colours so prominent among the club’s supporters, featuring checked patterns that hark back to the 1977 European Cup era, when those checked flags could be seen among the fans in ‘the Kop’
Of course, there are red accents, as well as a tribute to the Hillsborough victims emblazoned on the back of the neck alongside the classic ‘96’. It’s a truly distinctive kit for Klopp’s lads that we’ll be seeing on the pitch.
Paris Saint Germain
One of the Parisian side’s most understated yet popular jerseys hits the shelves for the 2021–22 season. Against a black background, there is a grey stripe featuring the sponsor’s logo, whilst the crest is set against a striking red background that stands out from the rest.
The black colour runs throughout the kit, with detailing on the sleeves and numbers, as well as on the inside of the collar, where there is a fleur-de-lis (a classic feature of PSG kits) surrounded by numbers representing the departments of the Île-de-France region. Impeccable.
Inter Milan
On this occasion, the Nerazzurri have unveiled an all-black jersey that is clearly inspired by the kit they wore in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
But unlike back then, the aim is to convey a message of unity and acceptance of diversity, which is why we see such a colourful design in the central pattern.
As if that weren’t enough, the collar also features the slogan ‘Brothers and sisters of the world’ in multicoloured tones, further emphasising the theme of unity and diversity that this jersey celebrates. It’s one of the best third kits, with a wonderful message for all Inter fans around the world.
And that’s it for now – some of the best Nike third kits, which we particularly love. Which one is your favourite?
