adidas Copa Pure

Following the teaser edition we saw a few days ago, we now have the new laceless model of the new version of the adidas Copa Pure. Let's take a look.

The adidas Copa football boots are a classic range, but with a modern and elegant twist on the traditional natural leather boot. The Copa name has a long heritage, and any boots bearing it must live up to expectations. That's why we have a new design that we hope will satisfy even the most demanding players.

The first thing to note is that, as we saw in the Teaser Edition, the shape of the boot has been completely changed compared to the Copa Sense, with a modification of the overall shape of the boot, opting for something more classic and more similar to what we see in other silos from the German brand. In my opinion, this is a great move.

This new design incorporates completely reinterpreted pods, foam plates distributed throughout the upper, which take us back a little to the days of adidas adipure, with a less thick feel and closer to the ball. A sensational touch thanks to this new foam and, of course, the natural leather on the front.

Moving on to the new natural leather, we have a softer and more malleable leather, and above all, much more of it surrounding the entire front. This is obvious, but it greatly improves the feel when in contact with the ball. We have retained the fusionskin technology to join the leather front with the microfibre back and the knit heel counter.

Regarding the sole, we have a completely new boot that inherits the same sole as the previous adidas Nemeziz, which is perhaps the only downside to this boot, not because the sole is bad, but because it is not new and ‘feels’ less innovative.

However, in terms of performance, I love it, as it is responsive, with good traction without being excessive, and perfectly matches what you want from this boot. Comfort, without losing an ounce of traction.

In conclusion, we have a new Copa silo that greatly improves on what we saw in Copa Sense, with more natural leather, greater comfort, a lighter sole that reduces the overall weight of the boot, and classic Copa colours because black and white are always a safe choice. Now all that remains is to choose whether to stick with the purity and naturalness of white or switch to the dark side. Which one will you go for?
