As mentioned in the introduction, this pack only affects two of the German brand's silos and focuses mainly on the Champions League. The inspiration comes from the competition's balls, both in their women's and men's versions.
As we can see, the silver colour of both silos comes from the colour of the women's ball, and the tricolour stripes and details we see on both boots are inspired by the same colours we see on the Champions League stars. A mix of details that gives a stunning result.
To begin with X SpeedPortal, we had already seen Tottenham striker Heung Min Son wearing them in training, and our suspicions were confirmed: a completely silver boot was coming onto the market. The German brand's fastest boot is dyed silver, further highlighting the microtexture we see on the side, a very high-end look.
The colour details extend across the three black adidas stripes and reach the heel counter. The sole is completely black, with only the carbon fibre plate insert visible. The speedFrame is somewhat hidden, highlighting the upper part of the boot. On a technical level, as you know, we have a comfortable boot, made especially for sprinters, with great traction and a slightly stiffer feel than previous generations, with perhaps the most reactive sole on the market. In short, a fast boot, very, very fast.
We continue with adidas Predator Edge, where we see a design with more black, as the entire ‘zone Skin’ is in that colour, but with yellow, green, blue and pink details in the background, something that makes them stand out even more and really pop when in motion, as they can be seen as a ‘trail of colours’.
The rest of the Primeknit that shapes the boot is dyed silver, extending to the sole, where we only see some colour on the studs. A comfortable boot, slightly wider than its predecessor and with all the flair of the new ‘Predator element’, it dresses up for the most special nights: the nights of the Champions League.
In conclusion, we have a certain fondness for silver boots, and on this occasion, the combination with the colours of the Champions League balls is simply perfect.
