The boots for the WC - Nike Generation Pack

Nike presents the boots that its players will wear during the FIFA World Cup, launched under the name Generation Pack. Gold, a colour associated with success and victory, will feature prominently in the three silos of the swoosh brand during the most important national team tournament on the planet.

The World Cup in Qatar is just around the corner, and Nike has kept us waiting, being the last brand to present its Nike football boots for the World Cup. Was it worth the wait? Well, there are opinions to suit all tastes, as we have seen all kinds of comments about this new collection called Generation Pack.

Let's start with the Nike Mercurial football boots, which are the most successful of Nike's three lines. In the world of football boots, speed has a name. Mercurial has been worn by the world's most outstanding players for years, making it Nike's flagship product. This time, gold takes centre stage in a collection that we will see during the FIFA World Cup.

As a detail, we can see that the inside features the combination of numbers and letters ‘20(xx)²/ Q’ (20(xx)²", which stands for 2022, with the Q referring to Qatar, the country hosting the tournament. In this same area, we find the word AIR, which is coloured white, adding a positive touch to the overall design of the Nike Mercurial football boots.

Moving on to another silo, we now turn our attention to the Phantom GT2 football boots. Nike's most versatile line is dressed up to celebrate the most important event of the season. The perfect blend of black and gold is the colour scheme chosen by the American brand for the Phantom GT2, a model that we will see worn by players of the calibre of Kevin De Bruyne and Rodrygo Goes, among many others.

On this occasion, we once again find the same letters and numbers as on the Nike Mercurial football boots, but in addition, if we look at the heel area, we can see some coordinates. These refer to Nike's headquarters, where all the products of the swoosh brand are designed and developed.

Finally, we present the Nike Tiempo football boots for the World Cup in Qatar. Nike Tiempo is synonymous with football. Since its inception in 1983, the swoosh brand's leather silo has accompanied us year after year, adapting to the needs of each moment but always maintaining its essence. For this World Cup, black has been chosen to colour the upper of Nike's most classic model. The feeling with Tiempo is that, perhaps, the swoosh brand has been too conservative with the design of this silo, and that a black boot with gold details and a white swoosh is nothing we haven't seen before. Of course, this is Nike's most classic silo, but even so, in these times, we were hoping for something with a little more personality.
