New adidas Predator 20.1 Low

The last adidas Predator with a more traditional design hit the market in 2015, just before the German brand decided to discontinue the Predator line and replace it with the Ace range, in what was presented as a quest for the ultimate revolution in the world of football boots. Apart from a few reissues we’ve seen over the years, many now regard this as the official return of the authentic adidas Predator, as this new model recaptures much of the essence that made this iconic range famous.

The adidas Predator Low Cut is, essentially, the same boot as the adidas Predator 20.1 FG. The main difference lies in the upper construction, which features a much lower-cut knitted collar. The integrated ‘sock’ has been removed and replaced by a knitted collar which, however, no longer offers the same construction found on the adidas Predator 20+ and 20.1 FG. There is one detail that may seem unusual at first glance: these Predators do away with the traditional inner tongue, a very distinctive feature of the original Predators. Instead, they feature a slip-on design that makes it considerably easier to slip your foot in, making putting the boots on much simpler.

As for its key technology, DEMONSKIN, we can confirm that it is also featured in this range. Although its presence is much more subtle than in the adidas Predator 20+, we can say without a shadow of a doubt that the technology continues to perform its function perfectly.

The material used in the construction of the upper is quite different from that found in the Predator 20+. It is less flexible and also feels slightly rougher to the touch. However, this is an ultra-thin synthetic material that adidas has developed specifically for the 20.1 range and which, after a few minutes of wear, manages to provide a feel very similar to that of the high-end models. Furthermore, it allows the upper to gradually mould to the shape of your foot.
