Bayern Munich commemorative jersey

This limited-edition Bayern Munich jersey from adidas celebrates the history and greatness of a club which, this season, is marking no less than 120 years of history. Thus, one of the world’s most successful clubs is writing yet another chapter in the history of football in capital letters with this jersey.

The Bayern Munich jersey is synonymous with victory, it is synonymous with resilience, and it is synonymous with excellence in the world of football. We must remember that the Bavarian club is not just another team for adidas; the brand with the three stripes has a long-standing presence within the club, which is why, throughout history, the two have enjoyed a close, harmonious relationship in all aspects of football.

Bayern Munich anniversary jersey

The design featured on Bayern Munich’s new football kits clearly follows a minimalist philosophy. Just as was the case in the 1900s, when simplicity was a key feature and detail was of little concern. The launch date is no coincidence, as the Bavarian club was founded on the 27th of February 1900. This jersey will not only be available on the Fútbol Emotion website for anyone wishing to purchase it, but it will also be worn on the pitch, as Bayern Munich have received permission from the Bundesliga to wear the kit in their match against their Bavarian rivals Augsburg on the 8th of March at the Allianz Arena.

The kit, inspired by the jersey worn during Bayern’s first German Championship-winning season in 1932, features a crisp white base with darker red sleeves, along with matching socks and shorts. To further enhance the retro look, adidas has combined the club’s special 120th-anniversary crest, the adidas logo and the T-Mobile sponsor logo in white to ensure the jersey has a clean, retro look from a distance. That official 120th-anniversary logo also appears on the inside of the jersey, and the design is completed by a burgundy label reading ‘Special Edition – 1900–2020’ on the bottom right of the jersey.

Lothar Matthäus, Uli Hoeneß, Mehmet Scholl, Sepp Maier, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philip Lahm, Klaus Augenthaler, Oliver Kahn, Gerd Müller and Franz Beckenbauer are just some of the greatest players in Bayern Munich’s history, all of whom faithfully wore adidas football boots, and, naturally, both Oliver Kahn and Sepp Maier wore adidas goalkeeper gloves. German pride through and through.

Technical features: Bayern Munich jersey

In this section, practically nothing has changed – only minor details. Climachill will be the top-of-the-range technology, and it is this that the players will wear during matches: the Bavarian club’s premium jersey. This is the one designed to minimise friction and provide ventilation. Of course, with this top-of-the-range Bayern jersey, lightness and an optimal fit will be key to ensuring that both you and the players perform to the best of your ability. Not everything is top-of-the-range, which is why adidas, as it does every year, offers the option to buy the mid-range jersey featuring Climalite technology. Don’t let that put you off – this technology is designed to provide you with the best conditions for your matches, friendly games and even a casual run.
