‘From Milan to the World’ is the slogan that the Rossoneri and Puma have chosen to launch Milan’s new away kit – a simple phrase, yet one full of meaning. This new kit features details from New York, Rio de Janeiro, Kolkata, Melbourne, Nairobi and, of course, Milan – cities at the heart of the Milan project that has been growing steadily since 2003. We are talking about the Fondazione Milan project, an initiative through which Milan will support and collaborate with the six cities mentioned above. A kit that unites different cities and continents under a single concept.
But let’s now turn to the design of the jersey. For the away kit that Pioli’s lads will wear, Puma has opted for a subtle colour – simple yet elegant. The chosen shade is a very light cream, set off by red detailing. Clearly visible are the Milan and Puma logos, along with a detail that many will miss. It can be seen on the collar, bearing the inscription ‘Fondazione Milan’. We’ll see this jersey for the first time on the 24th of July in a friendly against Juventus!
