The adidas Mutator Pack

After much hype and anticipation, the new adidas football boots are finally here. How many of you – fans and those on the hunt for football boots that haven’t even been released yet – haven’t been searching for this pack? We know why! Before we talk about all the new adidas boots, it’s worth noting that the inspiration behind this collection from the German brand stems from genetic mutations – the kind capable of altering even our boots, affecting characteristics such as colour. However, some genetic changes can end up affecting how our kit performs… Are you ready to experience a real mutation?

The adidas Mutator Pack

Let’s start by talking about the new adidas Predator 20… well, sorry, before we talk about the new generation – which, naturally, replaces the adidas Predator 19+ football boot – we’ll be looking at the other ranges that have also been affected by the Mutator Pack. This season, adidas might surprise us with some new restylings, just like the generational change with the adidas Copa 20+… Who knows?

adidas Copa 20+

There isn’t much difference compared to its predecessor, the adidas Copa 19+ boot. A boot that was released as part of the previous Encryption Pack and which, from a technical standpoint, is a truly outstanding boot; it features an upper made entirely of kangaroo leather, which wraps around the entire surface of the boot and is sealed to prevent any warping of the leather. The innovation in this football boot lies in its shell, where we can see small filaments that create a 3D design across the upper, offering much greater grip and control over the ball. Perhaps adidas hasn’t taken too many risks, offering footballers a simple yet effective restyling.

The leather blends seamlessly with adidas’s well-known Primeknit in the ankle area, which is responsible for securing and stabilising the foot within the boot. The forefoot area is essentially completely uncluttered, because, as you can see, this football boot has no laces. This laceless kangaroo leather boot introduces a new concept in football boots, combining ‘classic’ materials with a thoroughly modern design. As for the sole, the new ‘Exoframe’ plate combines two different densities to provide simply brilliant weight distribution throughout the boot, without compromising on traction – which is slightly more up-to-date than in previous classic adidas Copa Mundial football boots – as it features 13 semi-conical studs.

adidas Nemeziz 19+

The shell continues to utilise AgilityBandage technology, but this time the bandage is woven into the forefoot, allowing it to rise evenly up both sides of the boot. A new synthetic finish protects this material and provides extra grip – an area where the previous generation was lacking. Hidden inside the boot is an elastic membrane that wraps around the instep – very similar to that of the ACE 16+ – securing it to the base so that stability is not compromised by the absence of laces.

And we’ll finish by talking about the outsole. The first thing we notice is the return of the modular outsole, which we haven’t seen on adidas football boots for almost 10 years. The new plate structure reduces weight and increases responsiveness. On top of this are 11 conical studs in a traditional configuration, which will provide traction during the most aggressive moments of play.

adidas X19+

The technology used to support the upper of the adidas X19+ football boots is the ultra-soft X-Layerskin. This material is thinner, softer to the touch and more pliable than that used in previous versions; as a result, the boot offers both greater comfort and a better feel when in contact with the ball. The weave used on the adidas speed boot has also been modified; it is slightly more aggressive yet still soft, meaning that, in addition to the aforementioned increased comfort, ball grip has been improved in these new adidas X19s.

The plate that X players love so much is the Speedframe, which provides truly excellent traction and comfort, particularly thanks to the external heel cup that secures the foot to the base in a simply perfect way.

adidas Predator 20+

That’s it, here it is. The new adidas Predator 20+ football boot is now available, and of course, you can buy it via the Fútbol Emotion website.  In any case, 406 spikes cover the most frequently used striking areas on this new boot, just as Craig Johnston did on his 1992 prototype – the cornerstone of what we see today.

The history of the classic adidas Predator boots has always been closely linked to split soles, and this time, after years of anticipation and under the name ‘Control Frame’, it makes its debut in 2020. The upper is known as Demonskin, featuring a Primeknit construction with laceless technology to provide grip during boot-to-ball contact. The master of control on the pitch, utterly demonic, capable of anything, capable of making you feel like the true master of the football pitch.
