Puma football boots are typically exactly what a modern player would wear, but take note: if there’s one thing the German brand excels at, it’s offering a wide range of options to all footballers – take, for example, the recently unveiled Puma King Lazertouch football boot. This new Puma Rise Pack is all about light, colour and daring – breaking the mould – for a brave and daring footballer who wants to stand out not only for their play, but also for their football boots.
Puma Rise Pack – The two-tone boots
The summer of 2020 was set to be a football-packed season, with the European Championship on the horizon – an event where brands would play a supporting role – as well as the major launches we’re currently seeing. This would bring together the best footballers on the planet, and Puma is once again presenting its Special Edition Rise Pack, which features its star models, the Puma ONE and Future, in eye-catching colours, with the unique twist that each boot does not follow a single colour scheme, but instead combines greenish-yellow with coral.
Let’s take a brief look back at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and Euro 2016. Puma launched the hugely popular Puma Tricks collection, a range featuring the colours of the Cattleya labiata flower for the 2014 edition – a variety of orchid native to Brazil. A very original way of paying homage to the South American country without resorting to the cliché of green and yellow. The fluorescent fuchsia (right) and yellow (left) colours were used for the 2016 Puma Tricks collection, where, furthermore, the colour of the brand’s logo was complemented by that of the corresponding boot, with black used on the heel.
His main inspiration dates back to 1998, when the Cameroonian footballer Rigobert Song decided to take to the pitch wearing his Puma King football boots, with a different colour on each foot: yellow on the right and red on the left.
Puma Future 5.1 Rise Pack
As we described in the post on the Puma Future Flash 5.1, they were created to make a big impact in 2020. A true statement of intent, designed to give the competition a run for their money. The Puma Future football boots are, as the name suggests, the future. Starting with the upper, we see a dramatic change compared to the Puma Future 4.1 football boot from the previous generation. We can see that there is no longer as much mesh in the NETFIT, and there are fewer lace holes, with laces now positioned only where necessary. Furthermore, they feature a far more adaptable NETFIT support system, with a fully knitted upper for a better fit and stability, and a GripControl Pro Layer applied to the areas most frequently struck by the ball, in the form of grooves.
One of the key features of the Puma Future football boot is its lightness; to achieve this, it features a reactive Pebax midsole with RapidAgility technology, stabilising bars across the instep, and a combination of laminated and conical studs to ensure traction in all conditions, supporting explosive, multi-directional movement.
Puma One 20.1 Rise Pack
As you can see, the new generation of the classic boot, adapted to modern football, is back in a revamped form. Let’s not kid ourselves, there isn’t a drastic change from its predecessor, as they’ve taken a key component – the shell – and given it a fresh rethink.
Now, as part of this Rise Pack, the Puma ONE football boot is available to the general public. This unisex boot features an all-new upper that combines stability and touch with K-leather at its core, alongside an aggressive, eye-catching asymmetrical design, which is paired with the rest of the boot made from synthetic microfibre and Puma’s ‘Evoknit’. The ultra-lightweight SPRINTWEB technology is specifically designed to provide the player with better lateral support, as well as improved stabilisation for the foot and heel, without adding any extra weight to the boot.
