The adidas football boots in their ‘blackout’ version are something the German brand has become accustomed to bringing out over the last few months. For every two ‘standard’ collections the German brand launches, it is common to also see a collection featuring all four of its silos entirely clad in black. The latest addition to this world of blackout boots was the ShadowBeast Pack. Through all this, adidas demonstrates its great ability and ease in bringing high-quality products to market very quickly and, at the same time, makes clear its intention to become the leading brand on the pitch – and that nothing is going to stop it. In this new collection, we can see that there is no difference in terms of technology, but we must appreciate the fact that brands are genuinely listening to the opinions of their fans. In this case, adidas remains committed to launching all-black boots, with only the brand’s corporate details changing from one collection to the next.
New adidas ShadowBeast Pack
Unfortunately, this new collection of adidas boots does not feature all of the brand’s usual ranges, as – rather surprisingly – the adidas Predator 19 is not part of this collection. Instead, it comprises only the X 19, Nemeziz 19 and Copa 20. This is one of those collections where the brand with the three stripes knows full well it will be a hit with fans of all ages. Although this collection won’t be worn on the pitch by players sponsored by the German brand, we’d like to say right now to all fans of ‘blackout’ boots: don’t think twice when making your decision, as we’re sure these boots won’t be sitting on the shelves at Fútbol Emotion for long.
adidas COPA 20+
If we compare these new Copa boots with their predecessors, it is clear that there are no truly significant changes or updates. However, from a technical perspective, they retain all the features expected of a top-of-the-range boot, with an upper made almost entirely from natural leather and featuring a seamless construction. Warping of the natural leather is prevented thanks to the finishing treatment the boot undergoes during the manufacturing process. The one major new feature of this boot is found on the upper, where adidas has incorporated small filaments with a 3D design that provide greater grip and ball control. The natural leather of the upper is fused with adidas’s traditional Primeknit synthetic fabric using Fusion Skin technology. This synthetic fabric, located on the upper rear section of the boot, is responsible for providing stability and a snug fit.
adidas Nemeziz 19+
A shell that utilises Agility Bandage technology, although in this version adidas has chosen to implement it differently across the instep, ensuring it rises evenly up both sides of the boot. A new synthetic material finish protects this entire area of the upper and also adds extra grip to the boot. In this case, adidas has chosen to introduce this modification to address one of the areas considered to be the weakest in the previous generation.
adidas X 19+
The new adidas X boots are regarded by many as some of the best football boots of 2019. Their upper has been completely redesigned and also incorporates new technology. The X-Layerskin material, which is much softer and thinner, provides the necessary support for players who choose this type of boot. These boots offer a much more pleasant feel than previous versions, making them a significant improvement in terms of both comfort and the sensation when making contact with the ball. The outsole, which was already one of the boot’s strong points in previous versions, remains unchanged. The German brand continues to rely on the legendary SpeedFrame, an outsole that provides great traction and excellent comfort.
