Welcome to the second chapter of “Look at that boot!”. There won’t be too many surprises, but above all, it will feature pretty much the same characters as the previous post.
Fabián Ruiz
We’ll start straight away with the Napoli player, who took to the pitch wearing a pair of adidas Copa Sense.1s, a pair of natural leather football boots. It’s an interesting case, because until last year we’d seen him wearing Nike Tiempo Legends, and most of the time they were dark, completely black, so as not to show the Nike Swoosh. The Spaniard waited a long time before signing with adidas, but we’ve finally seen him wearing boots from the brand with the three stripes.

Lorenzo Insigne
Another Napoli player, another curious case. As we mentioned earlier, the players in this episode are practically the same as in the previous one, and in fact we see the Partenopei captain again, taking to the pitch in a pair of X Speedflow.1s from the Meteorite pack. These are the same boots Lorenzo wore for the first half of the previous match, but this time he hasn’t painted them black, so everyone can see them. Do you think he’ll switch to the Xs for good?
Théo Hernández
He’s finally been called up to the national team and Théo is obviously very proud. However, against Cagliari we saw him take a small step backwards – but don’t get us wrong, we are talking about football boots! Whilst he’d finally worn the new Mercurials against Sampdoria, against the Sardinians the French full-back wanted to go back to the old Mercurials he’d used throughout last season. Could it be superstition following his call-up to the national team? Who knows, but it could well be.
