New Nike Flightball Hi-Vis Premier League football

It’s still officially autumn, but the days are getting shorter and the nights longer. It’s getting colder and visibility is deteriorating for everyone. To address this very issue, Nike unveiled its new official Premier League winter ball last Thursday. This is the Nike Hi-Vis Winter Premier League ball.

The 2020/21 season has started just like the last one – at breakneck speed and with everything still to play for – and is moving very quickly due to the new reality we currently have to face and live with. Despite no longer being involved in a competition such as LaLiga, the fact remains that Nike continues to work closely with what many consider to be the most competitive – and, as such, the best – football league on the planet: the Premier League.

With the launch in summer 2020 of a new football, the Nike Flightball, the American brand certainly managed to live up to all expectations, following the minor setback it suffered when its contract as the official ball supplier to Spain’s top professional leagues was not renewed. By presenting a ball that perfectly meets all the requirements of a football and still boasts remarkable characteristics of speed, precision and explosiveness, Nike has merely provided what is known as a ‘kick-off’ for what many consider to be one of the events of the year in the premier football league in Her Majesty’s realm.

The moment when the summer ball—traditionally white—is replaced by a more visible one is also the moment that many English football fans mark on their calendars as the start of winter in their country.

Nike has unveiled the brand-new high-visibility Nike Flight Ball, a new official match ball that has been conceived and designed to offer greater visibility on the pitch, even in difficult conditions, and to ensure that same enhanced visibility for both players and fans. As for the design, to make a bigger impact not only in the Premier League but also worldwide, the American brand has returned to the design that made this very ball famous back in the 2004/05 season.

This new version is presented with a bright yellow background, which was used to distinguish it from the white version, and also features some of the grooves that give it this pattern and flight trajectory in a shade that leans more towards red. These red details highlight the large royal blue boomerang-shaped design, as well as the Swoosh and the Premier League’s corporate branding, the ball’s name and the AerowSculpt technology.
