The Copa Inner Life

A new colourway for one of the most eagerly awaited boots of 2021. Today we’ll be taking a closer look at the new adidas Copa Sense colourway. Let’s get started!

The new Copa Sense, launched recently, has already been released in several colourways, and today’s version is undoubtedly the most distinctive, eye-catching and flamboyant. If we look at the two previous versions, we can see that there was one recurring colour: black, which dominated the boot and made both models very similar to one another. In this case, adidas has chosen to move away from that design and go for something completely new, focusing on brighter, more intense colours. With this in mind, adidas has created the Copa Inner Life, a striking boot featuring entirely new colours.

COPA INNER LIFE

The Copa Inner Life boots are the complete opposite of anything we’ve seen so far. They’ve gone from being classic, all-black football boots to avant-garde white ones, with a bold and highly appealing aesthetic. It looks like a boot design that is still a work in progress, as if adidas had wanted to pay tribute to all the work that goes on behind the scenes – the design and construction process – by leaving the boot’s initial design visible. All of this also fits perfectly with the model’s name, ‘Inner Life’, that is to say, the inner life, what we cannot see – the life of the boot before it hits the market.

Let’s now take a look at the colours that make up the boot. We can see that the predominant colour is white, which serves as the base for all the other colours. The boot’s design is playful and combines a range of shades: green, blue, orange, yellow, pink and light blue. The importance of having such a wide variety of colours is not just aesthetic, but also functional, as each one represents a specific area of the boot—a technological feature found in the new adidas Copa Sense+.

Technologically speaking, the upper is crafted from ultra-soft kangaroo leather that moulds perfectly to any foot shape. This construction is also known as Fusionskin, as it is combined with a super-stretchy knit panel around the collar, allowing the boot to flex without ever losing its fit and making it as comfortable and easy as possible to slip your foot in.

In addition, we find the technology that characterises this new generation: the Sense Pods, raised sections that will enhance our feel on the pitch. They are positioned both inside the boot, in the heel area to secure the foot, and on the outside, to improve contact with the ball. Finally, there is a redesigned outsole that offers improvements in every aspect, particularly in the distribution of the studs, which are strategically placed at key points on the soleplate.
