Being a goalkeeper sets you apart from the rest for a number of reasons. One of them, and the most obvious, is the ability to touch the ball with your hands to defend your goal. Another is the uniform, as no one else on the pitch will be wearing the same colour as you. The first thing that comes to mind when combining these two things is goalkeeper gloves, as both for catching the ball with your hands and for looking good, we need to make the best possible choice from the many options available on the market.
Since today we are going to talk about gloves, we will start by showing off the new SP Fútbol ‘El Factor X’ glove collection. Five silos with different ranges and modifications within each one, this is what SP Fútbol brings us with the aim that no goalkeeper is left without a glove that suits their style of saving. From the best-selling Atlas to the Earhart, the most widely used glove in elite women's football, to the minimalism of Zero, the classicism of Valor, and the versatility of SP Pantera goalkeeper gloves. A multitude of options at the best value for money on the market, that's what SP Fútbol is offering us for the start of the competitions.
Reusch:
If you are unsure about what type of glove to use and need a wide range of options, Reusch is definitely the brand for you. The German brand's catalogue is able to meet the needs of all goalkeepers around the world. Professional, amateur, modern, classic, all goalkeepers have a place for them within Reusch goalkeeper gloves, but today we are going to focus on two models. The first is the Reusch Attrakt goalkeeper glove, which comes in a variety of options with slight modifications in each one, demonstrating the level of detail offered by this brand specialising in goalkeeper gloves.
But if you're more traditional and inspired by football from the 80s and 90s, the perfect Reusch goalkeeper gloves for you are the Legacy Gold. A wonderful retro aesthetic with which the German brand takes us back to those days when goalkeepers of the calibre of Peter Schmeichel and Vítor Baía wore their initials instead of the brand's initials. But don't be fooled by this 1990s-inspired look, because functionally, Reusch Legacy Gold goalkeeper gloves are designed to perform at the highest level and also allow you to include your initial on the back, just like those great goalkeepers mentioned above.
Along with the adidas football boot collection, the German brand also brings us the Beyond Fast Pack in gloves. We will focus on the adidas X goalkeeper gloves, which, although they have been around for a few months now, are the latest innovation from the three-stripe brand in terms of goalkeeping equipment. The main new feature of the adidas X goalkeeper gloves is the latex strip that wraps around the wrist, something we haven't seen before and which the brand has developed in order to adjust the wristband more closely to the arm by not having a closure strip. As with the adidas X Speedportal football boots, these are minimalist, one-piece gloves that prioritise lightness above all else.
Puma Future:
Simple and consistent, but on par with the best gloves on the market. Puma Future goalkeeper gloves are made from sensational EvoKnit, the brand's star material, which provides comfort and fit in equal measure. But if the back is good, the palm is not far behind. It is called Elite+ Dual Grip, a name that is not entirely accurate as the Puma Future goalkeeper glove does not have a duo. A one-piece model, without major innovations but ready to perform at any level.
And when it comes to goalkeeper gloves, Uhlsport is a must. This is the most expensive glove we will see today, but the price is justified by the quality of the materials used and the way they are implemented. We could say that this is currently the top glove on the market, which is to be expected as we are talking about a brand that has been exclusively dedicated to the development of goalkeeper gloves for many years. If we had to highlight one thing, it would be the material on the back, a Breathprene-like compound that the German brand uses in its gloves designed for professional performance. In addition, these Uhlsport goalkeeper gloves feature a striking number of wraps on the sides of the hand, fingers and wrist, which improves the fit and puts the brand a step above its competitors.
These are just some of the many options you can find today in the goalkeeper gloves section of the Fútbol Emotion website, but don't forget that they are also available in all our physical stores.
The 2023 Women's World Cup has begun, with the Spanish and Portuguese national teams wearing SP gloves during the tournament in Australia and New Zealand.
Lightness taken to its highest expression. SP Football presents the second generation of Zero Knit, the most minimalist version of the brand's seamless glove.
