What this Mexican goalkeeper glove brand is currently achieving is truly admirable. Only a brand that scores ten out of ten could deliver so consistently on everything it set out to do this year. Through the creation and design of true works of art, the Mexican brand has shown that, despite the pandemic, it has not slowed down or lost its ambition to set trends and consolidate its position within the world of goalkeeping. All of this reflects the brand’s vast experience, as well as its extensive range of products, which now includes a new benchmark in its line-up.
Absolute supremacy - Rinat Xtreme Guard Pro
When we first saw these new goalkeeper gloves, we had our doubts. We don’t mean to say that we mistrusted the range at all—far from it—but we did have some reservations about which market niche these Rinat gloves would fit into, and therefore what sort of goalkeepers they might appeal to.
For this range, the Mexican brand has added “weight” to the back of the glove, a key feature when compared to The Boss gloves. And what would Rinat be without its Omega Grip latex palm? Without a doubt, whichever range you choose from this brand specialising in goalkeeping products, its latex is a firm favourite amongst goalkeeping enthusiasts. On this occasion, we discover a new compound in the palm: AXG (Aqua Xtreme Grip). A state-of-the-art material, developed in Germany especially for Rinat, based on technologies used in aviation and Formula 1 tyres. This guarantees excellent performance in all weather conditions, achieving an exceptional balance between grip and durability.
Made using an Ergo-Roll cut, a hybrid of two styles: the ergonomic cut, which offers comfort and a perfect fit to the natural shape of the hand, combined with the legendary rollfinger design, which provides a larger latex surface area on the fingers for better ball contact. One aspect that Rinat has not changed in this range, reflecting a more conservative approach by the brand, is the wristband, which is identical to that found on The Boss gloves. It is a classic wristband, featuring an extra-large elastic component and Side Shield latex, which protects the areas of the palm most exposed to wear and tear, although it is somewhat smaller when compared to more recent ranges from rival brands. It also incorporates an anatomical design that allows for natural flexion of the hand at the wrist, thus facilitating contact with the ball.
And here are the new Rinat Xtreme Guard Pro goalkeeper gloves, which are now available to buy on the Fútbol Emotion website.
